The BYOC program uses AMI (“smart meter”) data to detect EV charging and confirm compliance with program rules. EV owners simply set the built-in vehicle charging timer to charge the vehicle during off-peak hours. Sagewell algorithms help drivers to distribute their charging. All EV makes and models, and all chargers, networked and non-networked, are eligible to participate.
