Case study 2: Measures of stressed transformers A well-rounded electrification strategy includes a sober review of potential grid impacts. A large investor owned utility is using Sagewell to identify transformers across their system that are struggling to maintain voltage under load or are exhibiting signs of stress. We deployed our SageSight analytics to scan hundreds of billions of voltage intervals to develop algorithms and metrics to pro-active transformer monitoring. Increasing load from electrification needn't break the grid.

Case study 3: Strategies for heat pump adoptionWe partnered with a large mid-western utility to produce a end-to-end heat pump electrification strategy. Phase 1 determined the revenue and margins impact of each additional heat pump, stratified by geography and property type. Phases 2 and 3 designed a plan for capturing the opportunities identified in phase 1. The end result was a calibrated approach that targeted the zip codes with high propane penetration and prioritized centrally ducted systems as whole-home solutions.
