The Position
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the tools, processes and applications that support our large-scale, high-availability, big data analytics platform.
In this position you will:
- Have a lead role in supporting and developing our big data analytics platform
- Be a key member of a focused and dedicated team
- Play a significant role in business and engineering decisions
- Work with massive datasets
- Utilize big data tools and cloud services to create ETL pipelines
- Have a direct positive impact on pressing global issues such as climate change and grid stability
Required skills:
- In-depth experience with Python
- Extensive experience with big data and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Experience building and deploying ML solutions
- Experience with TensorFlow
- Familiarity with Git
- Comfortable working with cloud technologies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Desirable skills:
- Experience with Deep Learning/Neural Networks
- Experience with Solr/Lucene
- Experience with Java and SolrJ
- Familiarity with JUnit
- Experience test-driven development and writing unit tests
- Experience with maven

- Conduct analysis of electric vehicle and heat pump energy consumption using innovative and very large scale data analytics tools
- Produce reports on program compliance and performance
Required skills and experience:
- 2+ years in a data analytics/analysis role
- A data science/analysis education or certification
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced remote work environment
Additional desired attributes:
- Past experience with utility or energy related analysis
- Past experience with clean energy technologies, such as electric vehicles or heat pumps
- Excellent communication skills
- A willingness to learn and grow

- Be the first point of contact for interested customers
- Answer phone calls, emails and online chat requests
- Advocate for the benefits of electrification technologies
- Understand each customers unique situation and recommend products that fit their needs
- Help Sagewell meet program goals
- Have a quiet place to take customer calls during the work-day
Required skills:
- 3+ years of experience in customer facing support, sales or technical support roles
Other desirable attributes:
- A strong interest and a good understanding of electric vehicles and/or heat pump products
- Previous experience promoting electric vehicles and cold climate air source heat pumps
- Past experience as a “Solarize” or “Heat Smart” coach, or an advisor in an energy efficiency program
- A mission based focus
- Excellent communication skills
- A willingness to learn and grow
